The Role of a Professional Leader
Professional Leaders are verified members who serve as stewards of the Career Circle community. They play a vital role in building bridges between professionals, facilitating live educational sessions, and ensuring our communities remain welcoming, safe, and supportive environments.
Leadership Permissions and Tools
As a verified Professional Leader, your account gains access to advanced community features:
- Public Session Scheduling: You can schedule public, platform-wide Signal sessions that appear on the global calendar, allowing you to host panel discussions, workshops, and AMAs.
- Featured Circle Moderation: You can be assigned to moderate or lead featured Circles, coordinate discussion boards, and pinned resources.
- Moderation Console: Access to flag queues, enabling you to review reports, lock sensitive threads, or hide content that violates platform standards.
Cultivating Psychological Safety
True leadership on our platform centers on care and empathy. We encourage leaders to focus on active facilitation—inviting quieter voices to speak, setting gentle boundaries, and de-escalating conflicts with warmth and respect. If you want to learn more about inclusive leadership, explore resources from the [World Economic Forum on Collaborative Leadership](https://www.weforum.org/) and the [Global Community Leaders Roundtable](https://www.communityroundtable.com/).
Becoming a Verified Leader
Members are promoted to Professional Leaders by platform administrators based on their track record of positive contributions, circle activity, and hosting history. If you are interested in stewardship, keep engaging, hosting small study rooms, and helping others. You can submit an expression of interest to the admin team through the [Contact Support Page](https://www.careercircle.com/help/contact).
