Privacy Overview
Last Updated: May 2026 (Alpha Release)
At UMATTR Career Circle, we believe that your professional network should empower you, not exploit your data. During our Alpha phase, our core focus is building a safe, transparent environment. We collect only what is necessary to operate the platform, facilitate your connections, and provide Career Intelligence insights. We do not sell your personal data to third-party data brokers.
Account and Profile Data: When you register, we collect basic details such as your name, email address, and professional background to construct your profile. You choose what additional information (such as portfolios or resumes) to provide.
Platform Activity: We log interactions such as posts, comments, Circle memberships, and Signal session attendance. This helps us curate your feed and improve platform moderation.
Company Data: For users representing organizations, we collect verified company details, job postings, and organizational interaction metadata to maintain authenticity.
Signal Room Metadata: When you participate in live sessions, we collect attendance records, moderation logs, and room settings. We do not record the audio/video content itself unless explicitly stated and consented to in the session.
Cookies and Session Data: We use standard cookies and session tokens strictly to keep you logged in, secure your account, and manage active sessions across devices.
Career Intelligence Data: If you use our AI Intelligence features (analytics), we process your queries to return market insights. Your queries are anonymized before being aggregated into broader market models.
By default, your profile, posts, and public comments are visible to other authenticated users on Career Circle. Organizations and recruiters on the platform can view your profile to present career opportunities. We implement strict boundaries separating Career Circle from other UMATTR products unless you explicitly link them.
We share data with trusted service providers (like our hosting and database partners) strictly for operational purposes, bound by rigorous confidentiality agreements.
User Controls: You have full control over your privacy settings. You can manage profile visibility, block or mute users, and adjust your notification preferences directly from your account settings.
Data Retention: We retain your data only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. We implement industry-standard encryption for data at rest and in transit.
Contact and Deletion: If you wish to delete your account, request an export of your data, or have any privacy-related questions during the Alpha phase, please reach out via the Contact UMATTR page. Upon account deletion, your profile and personally identifiable activity will be securely erased from our active systems, subject to legal and operational retention schedules.
