This is exactly the mindset we have focused on at UMATTR. Too many businesses begin with, “Where can we add AI?” instead of asking, “What problem are we actually trying to solve?” AI should not be implemented simply because it is popular. Every use case needs a clear purpose, measurable value, human oversight and an intervention plan for when the system gets something wrong. Teams also need to be honest about whether AI genuinely improves the task—or whether a trained human would still be more accurate, efficient and trustworthy The goal should never be to replace people unnecessarily or follow a trend. It should be to build useful, accountable systems that strengthen the workforce without introducing avoidable risk. That is why foundational AI education matters. When businesses understand the how, why and limitations before implementation, AI becomes an asset instead of a vulnerability.

Excellent point. The 2018 Abràmoff study solved the specialist review bottleneck with true AI autonomy, shifting the real challenge downstream. Today, the ultimate battlefield for AI implementation is patient follow-up. A brilliant point-of-care diagnosis matters little if systemic barriers prevent the patient from accessing the final treatment.
